The professional organization for respiratory therapists is the American Association for Respiratory Care [AARC]. You may visit the AARC website for information regarding job opportunities, career description, membership, research, clinical practice guidelines and protocols.

Graduates of accredited programs are eligible to take credentialing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care [NBRC]. You may visit the NBRC webiste for information regarding levels of credentials, eligibility and fees for various examinations, and links to licensing statutes for respiratory therapists in all states in the U.S.A.
