american heart association bls – basic life support

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for the health care provider is designed to meet the requirements for employment in health care professions. Students will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants they learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED. Course also teaches relief of choking.

american heart association heartsaver cpr & first aid

Heartsaver CPR is designed for those individuals who are not working in a healthcare field. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. Students will learn:

  • First aid basics (including bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions)
  • Medical, injury and environmental emergencies
  • Adult, child and infant CPR instruction
  • Adult, child and infant choking
