The Recreation and Sport Management (RSM) bachelor’s degree focuses on fostering healthy lifestyles, effective management of organizations, and the social and economic development of communities through recreation, tourism and sports services.

Our curriculum is designed to expose students to all facets of the sport and leisure profession, with an emphasis on developing critical leaders in an ever-changing global industry. Classes offer a unique blend of management, leadership, experience design, and professional development as well as sport and leisure behavior education, creating the perfect environment to foster skill development, critical thinking and innovation.  The RSM program aligns with national standards focusing on four main industry benchmarks, which include:

• Sport and leisure career foundations and social science perspectives
• Program, event, and experience design
• Strategic management and operations
• 400-hour minimum internship experience
